A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

threat-suppression-rescue-task-force-eagle-clean-transparent.png

Threat Suppression was founded in 2012 when four public safety professionals recognized the need for high-quality safety and security consulting. Since then, our team has brought together more than 600 years of combined public safety experience and responded to more than one million emergency calls.

From the beginning, we have recruited highly accomplished professionals in safety, security, emergency response, and public safety. I encourage you to read their biographies and learn more about the experience they bring to our clients. I am honored to work alongside each of them. Our greatest strength has always been, and will always remain, our people.

At Threat Suppression, we have dedicated our careers to protecting communities and improving the safety and security of the people and organizations we serve. We address complex operational challenges through research-based training, consulting, assessments, exercises, and tailored solutions. We also support research intended to advance safety and security throughout the public safety profession.

Our clients range from specialized military and federal units to public safety agencies, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, critical infrastructure, and private businesses. Regardless of the client or assignment, we provide high-quality work tailored to the organization’s specific needs, operating environment, and objectives.

More than 95% of our contracts have come through word-of-mouth recommendations. That trust is the standard we work to earn on every engagement.

About Threat Suppression®

Threat Suppression is an internationally recognized safety and security consulting firm specializing in active assailant preparedness, targeted violence prevention, emergency management, critical infrastructure protection, and public safety training. Our personnel have provided training and consulting throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Our clients include public safety agencies, military organizations, educational institutions, healthcare systems, and critical infrastructure operators.

What distinguishes Threat Suppression is the combination of research and operational experience. Our personnel have commanded or responded to active assailant attacks, terrorist incidents, civil unrest, and other complex critical events. This experience allows us to combine evidence-based research with practical lessons learned from real-world incidents.

Research is the cornerstone of our company. Every training program, exercise, and consulting project is grounded in scholarly research and informed by operational experience. Our flagship eight-hour course, Joint Public Safety Response to the Active Shooter/Active Assailant represents more than 50,000 hours of internal Threat Suppression research and cites more than 600 scholarly references. Learn more about our research and training history Learn more about our history of research and training HERE.

Innovation has also remained central to Threat Suppression’s mission. In 2014, we developed a practical training program addressing law enforcement response to fire-as-a-weapon attacks. Research from this area has since been incorporated into programs at the Texas State University ALERRT Center and referenced in National Fire Protection Association guidance. We also developed a training program integrating fire departments into civil unrest mobile field force operations and later introduced the Tactical Fire Company™ concept, which integrates specially trained fire companies into SWAT and other high-risk law enforcement operations.

Federal agencies have relied on Threat Suppression’s expertise for specialized training, exercises, and consulting. Our largest client is the United States Department of War, for which we have provided integrated active assailant preparedness training at more than 50 military installations across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Our personnel have also provided services to the U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy, Department of Education, the United States Attorney’s Office, and numerous other federal agencies.

Our specialized capabilities have supported federal procurements, including contracts awarded through sole-source procedures where legally appropriate. The vast majority of our business comes from repeat clients and word-of-mouth referrals, reflecting the long-term relationships we have built with agencies throughout the United States and around the world.
