Threat Suppression is widely recognized for developing innovative public safety programs that address emerging threats before they become mainstream. We developed the first practical training program for law enforcement response to fire-as-a-weapon attacks in 2014. Today, our research in this area has been incorporated into programs at the Texas State University ALERRT Center and is referenced within National Fire Protection Association guidance. We also developed the first training program focused on integrating fire departments into civil unrest mobile field force operations and later introduced the Tactical Fire Company™ concept, integrating specially trained fire companies into SWAT and other high-risk law enforcement operations.​

Many federal agencies rely upon the expertise provided by Threat Suppression. Our largest client is the United States Department of Defense, where we have provided integrated active assailant preparedness training to personnel at more than 50 military installations throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Our personnel have also provided services for the U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy, Department of Education, the United States Attorney's Office, and numerous other federal agencies.

Because of our specialized capabilities, many of our federal contracts have been awarded through sole-source procurements.
