Mission, Culture, & Ethics

Why This Matters

When you call Threat Suppression, you're calling because the stakes are real. You need people who think operationally, not theoretically. People who've commanded international crisis events. People who won't sell you a solution that looks good on paper but falls apart when it matters.

Our Mission

Honor God. Respect life. Pursue excellence. Serve others.

What We Do

We help organizations prepare, respond, and recover from their organization's worst days: active assailant attack, terror attacks, workplace violence, and violence against children. We address and correct training gaps, command failures, and crisis communications when minutes determine outcomes. We do this through training, planning, assessment, and research, all grounded in operational reality, not academic theory.

What Sets Us Apart

Threat Suppression is built on an uncommon foundation: researchers who command operations, and operators who publish findings. That combination is rare. Most firms choose a lane. We live in both.

Our team is small and we are deliberate about scale. Our clients repeatedly tell us they like the small size of our firm because of the individualized attention they receive. We are not a big box security firm that tries to use off-the-shelf security packages for clients utilizing consultants with minimal operational experience.

We don't outsource your security to contractors we've never met. We don't grow beyond the point where we can answer your call directly. Quality control is critical. We operate in a zero-fail environment. Trust is a paramount.

We operate on principles, not playbooks. Your situation is unique. Your building is different. Your command structure is different. Your people are different. Generic solutions fail. We build with you.

How We Work

We are transparent about what works and what doesn't. We'll tell you when you're asking the wrong question. We'll tell you when your current plan has gaps. We'll tell you when something is beyond our scope. You didn't call us to hear what you want to hear, you called us because the stakes are high, and failure is not an option.

We're values-driven. Your word is your bond. A handshake still means something. That is how we work. We will spend time talking you out of spend money. We will show where you can save money and reinvest it internally.

We build through continuous learning. Much of our working hours goes to training and development. If you are not actively learning, you are actively losing ground. We believe that. Our team holds multiple board certifications and specialty credentials across our disciplines. Each year, our people pursue advanced certifications that expand our collective expertise.

Our Commitment to Independence & Ethics

We are independent. No parent company. No third-party affiliations. No incentive to sell you something you don't need or oversell what we can deliver. We are not financially affiliated with any third-party product, organization, or vendor. We receive no remuneration, sponsorship, or financial support from anyone other than our clients. Our reputation is the asset that matters.

We are uncompromising on ethics and integrity. We operate with a commitment that transcends compliance. We won't sign off on something we can't defend operationally. We've turned away much business from clients who wanted compliance theater instead of actual capability, clients who wouldn't commit resources, clients whose requirements conflicted with our principles.

We are committed to:

  • Engaging with clients through honest, transparent communication and acting in good faith.

  • Avoiding conflicts of interest, both in appearance and in fact.

  • Proactively identifying and mitigating threats to life, property, and public safety.

  • Complying fully with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.

  • Respecting the rights, dignity, and humanity of every individual, regardless of background.

  • Promoting and fostering safe, inclusive, and respectful environments.

  • Choosing the right path over the easy path, even when it’s more difficult.

  • Rejecting unethical, immoral, or unlawful actions, even if they are considered customary or convenient.

  • Serving as ethical leaders and moral advocates within the communities we serve.

Who We Work With

We work with organizations that take safety and security seriously. Leadership must be committed. People show up to training ready to learn, not to check a box. You're willing to change how you operate based on what we find.

We've trained 200,000 people across federal, state, and local agencies. We've been named sole-source in federal procurement because there's no alternative to what we do. We've commanded real international crisis incidents. We've made decisions affecting national security. We've authored official after-action reports after mass violence events. We understand environments where the stakes are at the highest.

Why Clients Stay

Approximately 75% of our work comes from returning clients. Not because we're good at sales. Because when we finish, you're measurably more resilient. Your team understands the gaps. Your command structure works. Your people know what to do.

We build relationships that last. Many of our clients are friends. That's not an accident. It's what happens when you do hard work together on things that matter. This is the result when no one bends on ethics and integrity.
