Jonathon (Jon) Allen, MD, FACEP is the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director at Threat Suppression, Incorporated. Jon is a board-certified emergency physician in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area where he is the Emergency Department Medical Director. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and subsequently completed an emergency medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) in Augusta.
While in residency, Jon gained extensive experience in tactical and disaster medicine through the MCG Center of Operational Medicine, providing training to multiple federal, state, and local agencies throughout the United States. He assisted in the creation and modification of curricula used to train federal law enforcement officers in combat casualty care and austere medicine. Jon currently serves as the Assistant Medical Director and Tactical Physician for a Georgia sheriff’s department Special Operations Group. Jon regularly provides training to local law enforcement and EMS agencies in the Chattanooga area in tactical casualty care and pre-hospital medicine.
Jon joined the Tennessee Air National Guard in 2008 and is currently assigned to the 134th Medical Group / 134th Air Refueling Wing at McGhee-Tyson ANG Base in Knoxville, TN. Promoted to the rank of Major in 2012; he currently serves as the Medical Director for the McGhee-Tyson ANG Base Fire Department. Jon previously served as the Medical Director for the Air National Guard EMT/Paramedic Education Program, overseeing and instructing at initial and refresher training for all ANG EMTs and paramedics.
